The expansion of Croatian smart benches around the world continues at a fast pace.

Croatian company Include is the producers of the Steora smart bench, a solar-powered bench with multiple functionalities, including wireless and USB charging, free Wi-Fi, ambient lighting, a cooling system for the seating, and 15 smart sensors.

The small Croatian company has now placed more than 750 benches in over 23 countries, impressive for an idea that was started by young 22-year-old entrepreneur Ivan Mrvoš in his hometown of Solin near Split in 2015.

Steora benches have now found a new home at the Curtin University Bentley Campus in Perth, Australia.

“Our partner CleanAir Energy partnered up with Synergy, Western Australia’s largest energy provider, and has enriched Perth with more Steora benches. We’ve also just shipped 13 Steora benches to Dubai, our biggest order in Dubai so far. Our partnership with Arabco Smart Technology just keeps growing,” Include said.

There are already benches around the Perth metropolitan area.

“Perth receives around 300 days of sunshine each year. Synergy is exploring additional ways to harness this energy from the sun to provide practical outcomes for Western Australians, such as being able to use the sun to charge your phone while you’re out and about,” Synergy said.

You can check out where the benches are here.

Currently, the benches, which are manufactured in Croatia, can be found in all corners of the world, including Croatia, Australia, Germany, Slovakia, Belgium, Denmark, Czech Republic, Hungary, USA, Portugal, Qatar, and Dubai.
