100,000 People Visit Bol for First Time in History

For the first time in history more than 100,000 people have visited Bol on the island of Brač in a year…

The 100,000th visitor, Valentina Palajsa, was presented with a reward from the Bol Tourist Board this week. The small settlement of Bol, famous for Zlatni rat beach, has had a fantastic year and is one of the three finalists in the Croatian Tourist Awards in the ‘Destination of the Year’ category.

Bol is situated on the south of the island of Brač and has a population of just over 1,660.

In September 2016 Bol recorded 100,914 overnight stays, of which 5,759 came from domestic tourists, which was 6% more than the same month last year. Since the start of the year Bol has had 599,783 overnight stays, 11% more than the first 9 months in 2015.
