Mythical creatures, ghosts and goblins, fairies and elves, and dragons and witches will rule the enchanting small Istrian town of Pićan when the jubilee LegendFest Pićan is held from 31 July – 2 August…
Performances, workshops, lectures and concerts for all ages will take place across the city, on streets and in parks and churches everyday during the 10th anniversary of the popular festival of folk tales, legends and myths.
Organisers Val Culture and the Municipality of Pićan have prepared a rich programme for the jubilee edition, which will feature more than 200 artists from all over Croatia. There will be more than 10 performances, seven exhibitions, and a series of workshops for children and lectures during the 3-day festival. Pićan will turn magical in the evening with several concerts, including Pazin ethnic composition Veja, Jelena Radan, and concerts by Frank Krajcar and Indivia, and ethno band Šćike.
Visitors to the festival will be able to take a tour of Pićan (in several languages) to hear the stories, myths and legends from its history, as well as having the opportunity to taste the famous ‘legend’ drink and food and purchase souvenirs.
