12-year-old Zagreb resident Laura Lesjak has broken a 8-year Croatian record for the reading the most amount of books from the National Library..
Lesjak broke a record set in 2007 when it was announced this week that she had taken out 239 books, more than 4 per week, from Zagreb’s National Library.
“I can not imagine not reading everyday, it has become part of my daily routine,” said the Primary School student, who besides reading a large number of books, also finds time to play volleyball, be part of her school’s drama class and learn four languages – Italian, English, Russian and Chinese.
Lesjak, whose favourites are fantasy books, broke the 2007 record which stood at 225 books in one year.
