18-month-old baby in Croatian village tests positive for COVID-19

ZAGREB, April 7 (Hina) – An 18-month-old baby in Plaski near the central Croatian town of Ogulin has caught the coronavirus which is why the pediatrics wing of the Ogulin hospital has been closed down after the mother brought the baby with symptoms on Monday evening, the hospital said on Tuesday.
The mother and the baby were sent to Zagreb’s Fran Mihaljevic Hospital for infectious diseases while other members of that family were being tested.
Two pediatric specialists, six nurses and a member of the cleaning staff at the hospital who were in contact with the baby are now in isolation.
Ogulin Hospital chief of staff Josip Zorko told Hina everything was under control.
Karlovac County now has 25 people infected with the coronavirus and one person has died from the disease in that county.
