The 1st International Pršut Festival is being held on Friday and Saturday in the inland Dalmatian town of Drniš, a place famous for its pršut…
More than 40 pršut (dry-cured ham) producers will exhibit over the 2-day festival, the first of its kind. Besides a feast of pršut on display, visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy an array of fine cheeses, honey, wine and other delicacies. A culture and sports programme are also part of the manifesto. Drniš pršut is one of the four products which the Ministry of Agriculture registered for origin protection with the European Commission in February this year.
