20,000 pack Arena Zagreb for patriotic ‘Domu mom’ concert

Around 20,000 people, young and old, packed out Arena Zagreb last night for the ‘Domu mom’ (My home) concert organised by Laudato TV.
People came from all parts of Croatia, Europe and even as from far away as Canada and Australia for the concert which featured 25 Croatian performers.

Wrapped in Croatian flags, scarves, and hats, the big crowd sung along all night to a number of popular tunes.

Mate Bulić, Miroslav Škoro, Opća opasnost, Zorica Kondža, Meri Cetinić, Tiho Orlić, Zaprešić Boys, Tomislav Bralić i klapa Intrade, Zvjezdice group, Dražen Zečić, KUD Jedinstvo, Dražen Žanko, Ana Žagar with Lički drvosječi, the female Klapa Cesarice, Đani Stipaničev and Klapa Cambi were some of the artists who performed.

Some of the favourites on the night included Klapa Intrade’s “Croatio iz duše te ljubim,” Meri Cetinić’s song “Zemlju dide mog”, Dražen Žanko’s “Od stoljeća sedmog,” “Ruža Hrvatska,” sung by Tiho Orlić, and “Lijepa li si.”

All performers returned to the stage at the end conclude with “Moja domovina.”
With such a demand, organisers have announced a second concert in Zadar on November 30.
