CAIRO, 21 January 2021 – Croatia has comfortably beaten Bahrain today at the 2021 World Men’s Handball Championship in Egypt.
After a slow start to the tournament, Croatia has improved with each match and today they produced their best effort to date to brush aside Bahrain 28-18.
The result was never in doubt after Croatia raced out to a 6-goal lead at the start of the match as goal keeper Marin Sego was once again in fine form deny Bahrain’s attacks.

Marino Marić and Zlatko Horvat were clinical on attack for Croatia to help their side go in at the break with a 13-8 lead.

The second half was again one-way traffic with Croatia controlling the match and running away with the win by 10 goals.
Horvat with 8 goals was Croatia’s top scorer and Marin Šego was named player of the match.

The victory has edged Lino Čevar’s side a step closer to the quarterfinals and they will cement that spot if they manage to beat Argentina in their next match on Saturday.
