With direct foreign investment in Croatia last year totalling just 436.9 million euros, a drop of almost 60% from the year previous, “some very radical moves” aimed at attracting investments are currently in the pipeline….
One of those new initiatives from the government will be the appointment of a case manager. Speaking to Croatian radiotelevision on Tuesday, Deputy Foreign and European Affairs Minister Joško Klisović says that ‘commissioners’ will be appointed and will be on call around the clock to help potential investors. Croatia’s complicated and often slow bureaucracy has often been blamed for putting off potential foreign investors, and the new ‘around the clock’ service is aimed at alleviating that.
