An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale has hit the region of Vrograc at 7.54 on Sunday morning, according to the Croatian Seismological Service…
The quake’s epicenter was 10 km north-west of the town of Ploče and was reportedly felt in Makarska, Vrgorac, Ploče, and on the islands of Hvar and Korčula.
“I just felt my first earthquake for the year…It lasted for about 10 secs, it was light but I felt the shake. I felt safe because the buildings are so well built here” a Korčula resident told Croatia Week. The earthquake was listed as a grade VI on the MCS list.
