500 scholarships to be awarded to Croatians abroad

ZAGREB, 27 December 2019 – The Central State Office for Croats Abroad will allocate 500 scholarships to students with Croatian heritage living outside of Croatia.
100 of the scholarships will be for studies in Croatia, with the other 400 for studies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Those eligible to apply for the scholarships include students with Croatian nationality who are resident outside of Croatia and enrolled at a higher-learning institute in Croatia or Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Scholarships are awarded for one academic year (10 months) and amount to 700 kuna per month. The total amount set aside is 3.5 million kuna.
The scholarships will be awarded after a public application process. Applications close on 22 January 2020. The scholarships will be awarded on a points system based on grades, studying and social and material status.
Students who can not apply for the scholarships include those whose student obligations are suspended in the academic year 2019/2020, students who have enrolled in the year as the difference between two studies during their studies, repeat students, students who have not completed their study program, or who are enrolled in the undergraduate year.
