5th Dubrovnik FestiWine Set to Start

The 5th Dubrovnik FestiWine set to start

For the fifth year in a row, Dubrovnik FestiWine, the festival celebrating wine, will take place in the period from 16 to 22 April 2018. It will gather many who are already in the winemaking business, prospective winemakers as well as numerous wine lovers.

The history of Dubrovnik FestiWine is quite interesting – the event that was established in 2014 as a regional wine festival intended to promote wine culture and autochthonous wines of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, opened its doors to participants outside the County only three years later and thus earned an international character.

Its organizers have prepared a rich and extensive program offering a bit of everything for everyone. The Festival will open with the “Dubrovnik Wine Week”, during which many Dubrovnik citizens and their guests can visit restaurants, taverns and wine bars with the “Wine friendly” sign, and taste top wines of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County paired expertly with fine delicacies of the Dubrovnik region.

During the exhibition, the wine professionals will meet with winemakers, while the guests will have the opportunity to take part in lectures and wine tastings, very attractive wine and cooking workshops, such as the “Gault&Millau” masterclass by the Japanese chef Ippei Uemura, the “Sparkling Table” dedicated to sparkling wines, etc.

The international panel of judges and oenologists, headed by the president of the panel, Bojan Kobal, will select the best wines of the Festival.
