The Ambassador of the Republic of India to Croatia, H. E. Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava visited Croatian shipyard Brodosplit in Split last Wednesday, the company announced.
The Ambassador of India was welcomed by the chairman of the Brodosplit Board of Directors, Tomislav Debeljak, who introduced the Ambassador to the ongoing work, projects, and investments, which aim to position Brodosplit as one of the best shipyards in Europe.
After the introduction of the shipyard through ongoing projects, they visited the facilities and got acquainted with the company’s capacities and production capabilities, and briefly talked to Indian workers who are at the moment employed at Brodosplit and engaged in the construction of the polar cruiser “Janssonius”, contracted for the Dutch client Oceanwide Expeditions.
The name Brodosplit is well-known in Indian shipbuilding circles because, during the seventies, the Split shipyard delivered 8 ships to Indian clients.
We want to support and envision Brodosplit as a partner, i.e. as one of the shipyards that certainly meets all the necessary criteria, said Mr. Raj Kumar Srivastava, announcing the new possible cooperation with Brodosplit. One such possibility is the program of reconstruction of the Indian fleet and Brodosplit is ready to participate in this large project – the Indian ambassador emphasized during his visit to the Split shipyard.
