ZAGREB, 9 November 2020 – No fans will be allowed at Poljud stadium in Split for Croatia’s UEFA Nations League match against Portugal next week after the Croatian National Civil Protection Headquarters on Monday extended its decision on necessary epidemiological measures in the country.
The headquarters decision includes measures for holding sports competitions without the presence of spectators.
“Following such a decision by the National Civil Protection Headquarters of the Republic of Croatia, the Croatian Football Association informs the public that the Nations League match between Croatia and Portugal, scheduled for November 17 in Split, will be played without spectators. Also, the match between the youth national teams of Croatia and Lithuania in Pula will be played without the audience,” the Croatian Football Federation (HNS) said in a statement.
The measures also refer to other competitions under the jurisdiction of the HNS, which will be held without spectators until further notice.
Due to similar measures in Turkey and Sweden, Croatia’s matches against Turkey (November 11) in Istanbul and Sweden (November 14) in Solna will also be played without spectators.
