Euro 2021: Scotland beat Serbia to make Croatia’s group

Scotland has beaten Serbia in the playoff final on Thursday night to join Croatia, England and Czech Republic in Group D at next summer’s Euro 2021 tournament.

Serbia met Scotland in Belgrade tonight with Scotland winning on penalties after the scores were locked at 1-1 after injury time. It is the first time Scotland has qualified for the Euros since 1996.

Croatia is scheduled to meet England first at Wembley Stadium on 13 June. Next, they will head to Glasgow in Scotland where they will play the Czech Republic on 18 June.

The last group match will be against Scotland on 22 June.

Croatia has never beaten Scotland in five matches with three draws and two losses. The last encounter was during qualifying for the 2014 World Cup with Scotland winning 2:0- 

“We are satisfied with the draw, as I said there are no easy groups. We have England again I think it is realistic that we can advance out of this group. Our opening match will be important. It will be nice to start at Wembley against England. Our first goal is to advance from the group. We have time to analyse all and we believe in ourselves and we are ready. The most important thing is that all players are fit,” coach Zlatko Dalic back when the draw was made.
