ZAGREB, Nov 16 (Hina) – European Film Night, a project of the Creative Europe Media programme in partnership with the Europa Cinemas network, will take place from November 16 to 20 in 75 cities across Europe, including Osijek, Varazdin and Zagreb in Croatia.

The project celebrates the wealth and diversity of European cinematography, and three Croatian cinemas will screen a selection of films. Admission is free.

Osijek’s Urania Cinema will show Corpus Christi by Polish director Jan Komas on November 19. Next day Zagreb’s Metropolis will screen Italian director Matteo Garrone’s Pinocchio and Varazdin’s Gaj Cinema will show Italian director Claudio Giovannesi’s Piranhas.

The Media programme is the only EU fund designed for the development of the European audiovisual industry. It was launched in 1991, and Croatia became its 32nd member in 2008.
