German low-cost carrier Eurowings has announced its flight schedule for December this year with a number of operational changes on routes to Croatia.
At the end of October, Eurowings withdrew from Pula, Rijeka, and Zadar, leaving only two destinations active in the winter months – Zagreb and Split.
The airline announced four flights a week on routes to Zagreb for November, but those currently operate with a restricted schedule, twice a week, due to low demand.
During the Christmas holidays, Eurowings will boost traffic to Croatia
“During the Christmas and New Year holidays, Eurowings plans to increase its presence in Croatia. Given that many Croatian citizens live in Germany and they will want to come to Croatia just in time for holidays, this increase in traffic certainly makes sense. Eurowings is not the first to announce boosted operations to Croatia at that time of year,” Croatian Aviation writes.
Eurowings on the Stuttgart – Zagreb currently operates twice a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From 23.12. to 06.01. one more flight a week is added, on Wednesdays.
Zagreb – Cologne currently operates two times a week, on Fridays and Sundays. From 21.12. to 06.01. there will be two more flights a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays.
Eurowings will boost operations to Split Airport, temporarily introducing one more route
Split – Dusseldorf currently operates once a week, on Saturdays. In the period from 23.12. to 06.01. there will be one more flight, on Wednesdays.
Split – Stuttgart currently operates twice a week, on Mondays and Fridays. In the period from 22.12. to 10.01. there will be three flights a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.
Eurowings will temporarily introduce the Split – Cologne route, which will operate in the period from 22.12. to 10.01. two times a week, on Tuesdays and Sundays.
“The boost in traffic to Croatia just during the holidays was an expected move by Eurowings, in addition to direct destinations, passengers will be able to make good connections to/from other German cities, such as Hamburg and Berlin,” Croatian Aviation concludes.
