World Festival of Croatian Literature
The World Festival of Croatian Literature was held on 16 and 17 November 2020 in Zagreb under the auspices of the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Jandroković and the Mayor of the City of Zagreb Milan Bandić.
The World Festival of Croatian Literature began at the Croatian Cultural Foundation on Monday, November 16, with a talk on the founding of the Croatian Cultural Institute Marulić, and ended on November 17 with the presentation of Antun Bonifačić’s book, ‘Eternal Croatia’. The representatives were prof. dr. sc. Slobodan Prosperov Novak, and Đuro Vidmarović. After that, a recital of Croatian literature by Croatian emigrant writers was held, dedicated to the victims of Vukovar and Škabrnja, performed by acting students of the Libertas University in Zagreb (mentor doc. art. Žarko Potočnjak).

Invited participants from Croatia and Herceg-Bosna (Bosnia and Herzegovina) were: Željka Lovrenčić, Ivan Aralica, Luko Paljetak, Đuro Vidmarović, Stjepan Šešelj, Zlatko Krilić, Mirko Ćurić, Boris Domagoj Biletić, Boris Njavro, Ivan Tolj, Mislav Ježić, Hrvoje Hitrec, Dubravka Oraić-Tolić, Božidar Petrač, Stjepan Čuić, Dubravko Jelačić Bužimski, Mate Kovačević, Miroslav Međimorec, Zdravko Gavran, Ernest Fišer, Tomislav Marijan Bilosnić, Nikola Đuretić. Ivan Rogić Nehajev, Stanko Baković, Stanka Gjurić, Davor Šalat, Tihomil Maštrović, Ivica Matičević, Stanko Krnjić, Slobodan Prosperov Novak, Milan Bošnjak, Sanja Vulić, Domagoj Vidović and Joso Živković, Mato Nedić, Ivan Sivrić and Fr. Miljenko Stojić.
World Festival of Croatian Literature
Due to the current situation with the Coronavirus, invited participants outside Croatia, about thirty of them (such as academicians Nikola Benčić, Borislav Arapović, and Šimon Šite Ćorić) from various parts of the world (Germany, Switzerland, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Macedonia, France, Sweden, Italy, etc.), were, unfortunately, unable to come.
