Croatian international Alen Halilović (24) has signed for English Championship club Birmingham City, the club announced on Monday.
Halilović was signed on a free transfer after being released by AC Milan last month. The Croatian has signed a short term deal with the English club until June 2021.
After starting his career at Dinamo Zagreb, Halilovic spent two years each at Barcelona, Hamburg, and AC Milan. The left-footed midfield was tipped to be the next big thing after moving to Barcelona but he spent his time playing for Barcelona B at the Nou Camp.
He spent the 2015-16 season on loan at Sporting Gijon and moved to Hamburg in 2016. He was then loaned out to another La Liga side Las Palmas in 2017-18.

Halilović became the youngest debutant in the history of Croatia in 2013 when he made his debut for the senior team at the age of 16 against Portugal in a friendly match as a 50th-minute substitute for Ivan Strinić. He has 10 full caps in the last 7 years.
