Esplanade launch gourmet collection with drive-through or limousine delivery

Esplanade Home in Zagreb prepares a whole collection of tempting treats, a holiday lunch with top-quality ingredients, and sweet and stylish gifts – with the possibility of personal collection or delivery by limousine

Esplanade’s team of top chefs, after the well-known Esplanade’s Christmas turkey and cakes, which have been a real holiday hit among in recent years, significantly expanded the range of orders for takeout meals this Advent.

Delicious homemade cod pate with Esplanade’s signature, octopus salad, tempting salad with rice noodles and prawns, cream of chicory soup, quiche Lorraine with smoked salmon and horseradish, cod pie, homemade cod on white or red style, homemade juicy duck perfectly baked with roasted mlinci and red cabbage, or whole turkey with mlinci and fine dauphinoise potatoes with spice sauce, rolled veal shoulder, legendary Esplanade štrukli baked in fine cream, traditional Esplanade Christmas kuglof with spices, dried fruit, dried fruit and walnuts or an irresistible selection of holiday cookies in carefully styled packaging – all of this is available on your table in your warm home.

“We have created an offer in which everyone can find something for themselves, an offer that is available to guests every day. We made sure that in these new conditions, where people cannot go to restaurants and it is recommended to avoid going shopping, we offer a very simple service and just about everything for a sumptuous holiday table at home. We see that there is an increased need for orders, and our offer certainly stands out with packaging, quantity and a good ratio of price and quality of food that we choose carefully. The duck, for example, is free-range and comes from the family farm Orehovec from Međimurje on the Drava. Our turkeys are of proven quality, also from free-range farming, and come from a nearby family farm, while we procure domestic veal in Zagorje, and sea bass is from the Adriatic Sea. We are very careful to prepare meals only from top-quality ingredients, and our guests recognize that. For example, we have been preparing consommé for decades according to a traditional recipe: we add cognac and pure ham to the soup and cook for hours to get the finest concentration of flavor. Baked Esplanade štruklji have been prepared in our confectionery since the 1950s according to the same tried and tested recipe, and in this offer, we also have a variant of štruklji with gluten-free flour. I believe that we have put together a really tempting collection,” said Miroslav Jurić, sous chef of Esplanade’s kitchen.

“The process of ordering the Esplanade Gourmet collection for home is very simple. Guests can contact us by phone, WhatsApp, Viber or email, place an order, and pay by bank transfer or the Keks Pay application. They can pick up the order at the agreed time via a fast and efficient drive-through system, without physical contact and with the highest standards and strict precautions. When the guest arrives in their vehicle at the back entrance of the hotel, our staff delivers and brings in a freshly prepared meal, packed in stylized boxes, in a short time. Simply. For those who want a full service to their doorstep, we offer special delivery by limousine,” said Ivica Max Krizmanić, General Manager of the Esplanade Hotel, before adding: “There is a great demand for our offer of food for outside consumption, I believe we will delight many who are otherwise regular guests of our restaurant. The holiday collection is just the beginning and we will certainly not stop there. We adapt to the situation every day and try to be available to guests in these new opportunities.”

In addition to traditional cookies, the Esplanade’s sweet gift packages offer a traditional Christmas kuglof with dried fruit, nuts and fragrant spices, topped with a fine chocolate glaze and packaged in a stylized round pink box, as the perfect Christmas gift for a loved one or business partner.

The possibility of delivery by limousine is charged extra, and the price is formed on request. “The Esplanade Gourmet collection – Christmas edition takeout is available every day from 11 am to 10 pm. Orders are picked up according to the confirmed agreement at the specified time after payment is received. Certain meals can be ordered 30 minutes before collection, and some more complex dishes need to be ordered at least 4 hours in advance – for example by 12 noon to be ready for collection no earlier than 4 pm on the same day. We recommend that you order such dishes at least the day before.”
