FIFPro World XI: Luka Modrić nominated for 8th year

Nominations for FIFA’s annual FIFPro World XI have been revealed with Croatia captain Luka Modrić among the 55 nominees.
It is the 8th time the Real Madrid midfielder has been nominated and if selected, it will be his 6th time in a row he has made the World XI.
FIFPRO and FIFA invited around 25,000 professional footballers worldwide to vote for the World XI and asked them to select the most outstanding players in the following lines: goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders, and forwards.
The World XI will be announced on Thursday, 17 December.
