16,669 buildings in earthquake-devastated Sisak-Moslavina County inspected so far

ZAGREB, 16 January (Hina) – A total of 35,451 buildings in Sisak-Moslavina County have been reported damaged in the magnitude 6.2 earthquake that struck central Croatia on 29 December and 16,669 have been inspected so far, the county authorities said on Saturday. 

A total of 2,170 buildings have been declared unfit for use because of the damage and a further 198 because of the risk of adjacent buildings collapsing. 

A total of 1,745 buildings have been labelled as temporarily unusable and requiring a detailed examination and 2,100 as temporarily unusable and requiring urgent repairs.

On the other hand, 441 buildings have been declared fit for use because they suffered no damage, 3,746 have been labelled as usable without limitations, and 6,269 have been declared usable with certain parts of buildings still posing a risk.
