The first Hilton resort in Croatia is set to open its doors next month in the heart of Kvarner Bay.
The Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, located between Rijeka and Opatija, features 132 sea-facing rooms and suites and 62 villas and apartments.
The resort also boasts six restaurants and bars, a 3,700 m2 spa and health club, a private beach with mooring spots, a Kids Club, as well as four meeting rooms and outdoor spaces for meetings and events.
Among the restaurants is the rooftop Nebo Restaurant & Lounge where Krk island born Deni Srdoč has been appointed Head Chef.
The 28-year-old owes his love and passion for cooking to his grandmother, who inspired his career path and the decision to enroll in the private Culinary Institute Oliva Allegra in Split, Croatia.
In 2018, Srdoč was named the Best Young Chef in Croatia and the Young Talent of the year by Gault&Millau. At the age of 27, Deni Srdoč received his first Michelin star, becoming the youngest chef in Croatia to hold the prestigious culinary award.
The 3-level eforea spa and health club features a 255-metre indoor pool with whirlpools, saunas, steam rooms, relaxation and massage rooms and a fitness centre.
The Hilton Rijeka Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, which is one of the most modern Hilton hotels in this part of Europe, is set to open at the end of April.
The director of the The Hilton Costabella Beach Resort & Spa, Jose Luiz Ruiz, said earlier: “We are proud to be able to bring to this area the service provided by Hilton hotels. Our chain has over 6000 hotels connected in 17 industries, as well as over 600 resort hotels located in a wide variety of carefully selected locations around the world.”
“This hotel will contribute to the further positioning of Rijeka on the world tourist map, which is already recognised as an excellent city break destination with one of the highest growth rates in realised tourist traffic,” said Croatian Tourist Board director Kristjan Staničić during a site visit a few months ago.
