Croatia flight news: Finnair and Austrian returning to Dubrovnik and Split

The national carriers of Austria and Finland have confirmed that they will resume services to the Croatian airports of Split and Dubrovnik in April and June respectively. 

Austrian Airlines will resume operations on its seasonal routes from Vienna to Split and Dubrovnik by the end of April. Although these routes in previous years mostly started with traffic as early as the end of March, Croatian Aviation reported.

Vienna – Dubrovnik – Vienna will resume on 23 April with a once weekly service every Friday. From the start of May, they will add two more weekly flights and will fly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Vienna – Split – Vienna will resume on 30 April with three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

Finnair to resume operations

Finnair, Finland’s national airline, plans to resume operations on its seasonal routes to Split and Dubrovnik from Helsinki from June. In previous years, the company operated briefly on a regular route to Pula, but it was canceled before the outbreak of the global pandemic.

The first flight to Split is currently announced for June 3, and the airline offers as many as five flights a week. This will of course be dependant on demand and the epidemiological situation. 

On the Helsinki – Dubrovnik – Helsinki route, Finnair plans to establish traffic from June 1 with four flights a week, but the again the airline also warns of the possibility of canceling certain rotations.
