Croatia Airlines returning Zagreb-Dublin route

ZAGREB, 29 April 2021 – Croatia Airlines is returning its service connecting the Croatian and Irish capitals next month. 

From 27 May, Croatia Airlines will again fly between Zagreb and Dublin. Croatia Airlines will fly twice a week between the two cities on Thursdays and Sundays. 

Croatia Airlines suspended the service back in October 2020 after low demand caused by the pandemic after its return. Croatia Airlines re-established traffic on this route back on 15 June 2020 after it shut down in March due to COVID-19, operating three weekly flights, but due to very low demand, the airline suspended the route in October.

Croatia Airlines first introduced the direct service between Dublin and Zagreb back in 2018.

Zagreb

Croatia Airlines confirmed this week that regular international flights are planned from Zagreb to 13 European destinations in May – Amsterdam, Vienna, Brussels, Dublin, Frankfurt, Copenhagen, London, Munich, Paris, Rome (via Split), Sarajevo, Skopje and Zurich.

Split and Dubrovnik

Flights to Split will also be introduced again next month from Vienna, London and Zurich, whilst the airline will also re-establish its Dubrovnik – Frankfurt service.

Domestic

Croatia’s national carrier is also planning to continue the seasonal flights Osijek – Split and Osijek – Dubrovnik and connect the capital Zagreb with five domestic destinations (Split, Dubrovnik, Zadar, Pula and Bol).

The planned flight schedule is in line with current market demand and subject to ad hoc changes, depending on the development of the epidemiological situation in Croatia and the world, or restrictions and rules of individual countries regarding passenger traffic, which directly affects the demand for air transport services.
