Croatia will play a friendly international for the first time in Velika Gorica, just outside of Zagreb.
Croatia will play two friendly matches in June before leaving for the Euros which start later that month.
First up Croatia will play on June 1 against Armenia at the home ground of Velika Gorica, just outside the capital, the Croatian Football Federation said on Thursday. The match will kick-off at 6 pm.
Velika Gorica is the 10th city or town to host the Croatian national team, after Zagreb, Rijeka, Split, Osijek, Varaždin, Pula, Vinkovci, Šibenik and Koprivnica.
The match was originally set to be played in Osijek but was moved today.
The second friendly will be played on June 6 against world number one Belgium in Brussels at the King Baudouin Stadium.
“I am glad that we arranged friendly matches before the Euros so early, bearing in mind the plans of coach Dalić. The meeting with Belgium will be a real spectacle with two national teams from the top of the world football, which will be a perfect opportunity to see where they are at,” HNS president Davor Šuker said earlier.
The Croatian team will gather on May 25 to start preparations for Euro, which will start in Rovinj.
After the Belgium match they will travel to the base camp in St. Andrews on June 8.
