A new Art Nouveau-inspired heritage hotel has opened its doors in the Croatian city of Split this week.
The soft opening of Hotel FERMAI, which is enclosed within a protected cultural property, which once housed the Cooperative Association and later the University of Split, took place on Monday.
Exceptional architecture, top design with carefully selected details, modern, warm, a Mediterranean flair – this is how the new luxury hotel FERMAI, located a few steps from Diocletian’s Palace in the centre of Split could be described.
The century-old building, one of the few Art Nouveau in this city, is a masterpiece by architect Petar Senjanović, and the sophisticated, relaxing interior is signed by the well-known Croatian Studio Franić Šekoranja.
“A touch of Art Nouveau elegance, classic and vintage furniture combined with modern details, determining the flair of our 31 rooms and four suites in the hotel. FERMAI is a great choice for modern travellers, lovers of superior design, ambient architecture, Mediterranean atmosphere, and true hedonists who want to experience the local atmosphere in the heart of the city,” the hotel says.
By the end of June, FERMAI will become part of the MGallery hotel chain, one of the sub brands of Accora. MGallery currently owns more than 100 boutique hotels in over 30 destinations worldwide.
Accor is the world’s leading hospitality group consisting of over 5.000 facilities and 10.000 food and beverage facilities in 110 countries.
