Austria announces no quarantine now entering from Croatia

ZAGREB, 1 June 2021 – The Austrian government announced yesterday that from midnight today, June 1, entry from Croatia into Austria will be possible without quarantine.
The news has pleased many Austrians with the long weekend ahead due to the Corpus Christi holiday falling on Thursday this week
Entries from Croatia, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Sweden and Cyprus are now free with the presentation of 3-G documents – tested, recovered, vaccinated. Due to the improvement of the epidemiological situation, all countries currently listed in the category of at-risk countries are now among the countries with a low infection rate, 24sata said.
The possibility of traveling is now extended from essential travel to those for tourism purposes.
If a 3-G document is not presented upon entry into Austria, the test must be taken within 24 hours.
Only a document issued in German or English (eg Yellow Pass) approved by the EMA or successfully passed the WHO SAD procedure is valid as proof of vaccination.
A medical or official confirmation that a person has contracted COVID-19 in the last six months is considered proof of recovery. Evidence of antibodies is equivalent to a certificate of recovery, which must not be older than 3 months when entering the country.
All documents must be in German or English.
The list of countries with a low level of infection also includes: Andorra, Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Denmark, Germany, Estonia, Finland, France, the Principality of Liechtenstein, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, South Korea, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the Vatican.
Croatia COVID cases
Croatia reported just 40 new coronavirus cases on Monday and 12 deaths. There are 1,935 active cases and 797 hospitalised patients, including 84 on ventilators, while 10,140 persons are self-isolating.
So far 1,751,087 vaccines have been administered, with 1,272,513 persons receiving the first dose and 478,574 both.
