TAP Air Portugal commence new Zagreb-Lisbon route

TAP Air Portugal lands in Zagreb on Wednesday

ZAGREB, June 2, 2021 – TAP Air Portugal today commenced direct flights from Zagreb to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal. 

The new route will operate three times a week – on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Departure from Zagreb will be at 13:25, and the scheduled arrival in Lisbon is at 15:50. Flights depart from Lisbon at 8:00 am with a scheduled arrival in Zagreb at 12:05 pm.

“We are extremely pleased to have opened a new route to Zagreb, which allows Croats to visit Portugal this summer. It also allows Portuguese to travel directly to Zagreb, the Croatian coast and Dubrovnik, instead of flying over other European cities. Finally, it further strengthens the position of Lisbon as the best European hub because flights to Zagreb are aligned with our extensive network of flights in America and Africa. The launch of this new line is also an important sign of recovery in the tourism and aviation sector. We strengthen our commitment by guaranteeing all passengers a clean and safe environment at all stages of the journey and a flexible ticket booking policy,” said Arik De, General Manager of the Revenue and Route Development Sector at TAP Air Portugal.

“We are pleased to see TAP Portugal in Zagreb after a five-year hiatus,” said Yavuz Aytis, route development manager at Zagreb International Airport. “This line will not only connect the two capitals – thanks to TAP Air Portugal’s extensive network in Lisbon, passengers will have access to the continents of America and Africa, as well as the Adriatic coast on domestic flights from Zagreb. The re-launch of the Zagreb-Lisbon line will further strengthen the position of Franjo Tudjman Airport as a “gateway” to Southeast Europe.”

TAP constantly monitors the development of the pandemic and its impacts on the aviation industry, and the list of destinations and flights available in the reservation system is adjusted according to needs. TAP has introduced even greater flexibility into its Book with Confidence policy. Users who book flights until July 31 can change their reservation free of charge up to three days before the flight.
