Germany removes 6 counties in Croatia from risk list

4 June 2021 – Germany has removed large parts of Croatia from its list of risk areas, the state epidemiological institute Robert Koch announced on Friday.

“As of midnight on June 6, the Dubrovnik-Neretva, Istria, Karlovac, Krapina-Zagorje, Požega-Slavonia and Split-Dalmatia regions are no longer considered epidemiologically risky areas,” the Robert Koch Institute said.

This means that for those who travel to Germany from these parts of Croatia, the obligations of prior digital registration, presentation of a negative test or quarantine are no longer valid.

A negative COVID-19 test is still mandatory for entry into Germany by air.

For those coming from the counties in Croatia which have not been removed from the risk list, the obligation according to the rules on passengers from high-risk areas still applies, which means prior digital registration, negative test upon entry into the country or quarantine obligation until the presentation of a negative test after arrival in Germany.

At the same time, the Robert Koch Institute removed the whole of Italy, the Czech Republic and the largest parts of Austria from the list of risk areas.

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia and Serbia are still considered risk areas.
