July 1, 2021 – The International Swimming Marathon, which will take place on Saturday, July 3, in Rtina, starting at 9:00 am, brings together the world’s “swimming elite.”
World champion and two-time European champion Kristof Rasovszky will be the star attraction of the event.
Fans can head to Miletići in Rtina, which is in northern Dalmatia near Zadar, on Saturday 3 July at 9 am to watch Rasovszky.
The Hungarian won the 5 km open water swimming in the 2019 World Aquatics Championships. He also won the 5 km and the 25 km open water swimming in the 2018 European Aquatics Championships. In 2021, he won the bronze medal in the team relay event at the European Aquatics Championships.
“We are still not aware that this kind of swimming elite is coming to Rtina, and I especially thank my colleague Tonči Ančić for that. We will have the opportunity to watch as many as ten fantastic international swimmers who have medals from world and European competitions,” says Dražen Adžić, organizer and president of KDP Donat.
For world-famous swimmers Pop Acev and Matteo Furlan and Ana Olasz and Špela Perša, this is the perfect warm-up to the Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Among the Croatian swimmers taking part will be Mateja Sumajstorčić, Leona Coha, Antonija Buličić, Grgo Mujan and Toni Pavičić Donkić.
