22nd Pannonian Challenge to get underway in Osijek

Extreme sports fans will gather in the Croatian city of Osijek this week when the 22nd Pannonian Challenge will take place.
In addition to athletes, who will come from Croatia and all over the world, spectators are also permitted at this year’s festival of extreme sports on the left bank of the Drava.
The festival opens on Wednesday with a photo exhibition of all photographers who have exhibited at the Pannonian Challenge over the years. A fixed part of the exhibition will be set during the Pannonian Challenge in Sakuntala Park, while DJs Umbo and Phlegm will perform also on Wednesday, August 11th.
The party venue is the courtyard of the Old Bakery, and admission is free.
The second day of the festival is reserved for the first competition discipline, Inline, which will offer spectators a real adrenaline overture, and among the competitors will be last year’s winner Jaro Frijin from the Netherlands and the winner of the 19th edition of the Pannonian Challenge Jacob Juula.
After the competition, there will be musical relaxation, which will be taken care of by DJ eM Bee, a Samobor DJ with more than 10 years of experience on the music scene. This will be followed by a performance by Filip Motovunski, who will warm up the audience with the famous jungle and drum & bass rhythms, while everything will be rounded off by Kula VuBass from Vukovar.
Skaters, also the founders of Osijek’s extreme scene, will take part in the skatepark on Friday, and among the competitors are the winner of the 20th edition of the Pannonian Challenge in the Skate discipline Christopher Khan from Slovenia, Petar Spiedlick, a young Croatian who celebrated last year, local boy Bruno Vranić, who earned all hundreds on all Challenge Tours this year. DJ Volster will be in charge of good fun until dawn, followed by kolek3k and Phrasal and in the early morning DJ Lag.
Saturday, as the last day of competition, is reserved for the audience’s favorite discipline, which from this year is also an Olympic discipline – BMX Freestyle. The crowd will certainly be most in favour of the local boy Marin Ranteš, but he will have serious competition in names like Jack Clark and the young Kieran Rilley.
DJ Jogarde is in charge of the last party at this year’s Pannonian Challenge, on Saturday (August 14th), followed by Sly, one of the initiators of the electronic music scene in Osijek, and DJ Pips will perform for the very end.
Ticket prices for parties on Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 30 kuna.
All visitors to the Pannonian Challenge must have an EU digital COVID certificate, which will be checked at the entrance to the festival.
People vaccinated with the COVID-19 vaccine have the right to enter the event, while those who have not been vaccinated will need a negative PCR test (not older than 72 hours) or a negative rapid antigen test (not older than 48 hours).
Finally, the 22nd Pannonian Challenge is also open to people who have recovered from COVID-19, that is, at least 11 days have passed since the first positive PCR test. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from the obligation to have a digital EU COVID certificate.
