Bayern Munich sign talented 16-year-old Croatian Lovro Zvonarek

10 September 2021 – German champions Bayern Munich has confirmed it has signed talented 16-year-old Croatian Lovro Zvonarek from Slaven Belupo on Friday.
Zvonarek signed for a reported fee of €1.8 million and will remain on loan with Slaven Belupo through the season.
“Talented youngster Lovro Zvonarek will join FC Bayern on 1st July 2022 from Croatian first-division side Slaven Belupo. The 16-year-old attacking midfielder has signed on a long-term deal,” the club said today.
“FC Bayern is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world. To play here in the future and to be able to wear this shirt makes me proud. And it also encourages me to work hard on myself every day,” Zvonarek said.
Zvonarek joined the youth academy of Slaven Belupo in 2016, at the age of 11 and he made his first team debut with the club in May 2021
He scored in his second appearance for the club at the age of 16 years and 14 days old to become the youngest ever scorer in the Croatian First Football division, breaking the record set by Alen Halilović.

Zvonarek is a youth international for Croatia, having represented the Croatia U15s and U16s.
