ZAGREB, 21 September 2021 – Ryanair today unveiled its first winter flight schedule in Zagreb, connecting a total of 24 routes to European destinations such as London, Paris, Milan, Malaga and Naples.
Earlier this summer, Ryanair opened its Zagreb base with its first aircraft, and it will be expanded to a base with a total of three aircraft in December to support strong passenger demand for Croatia. It is an investment worth $300 million that will provide 100 direct jobs and a total of more than 750 jobs in Croatia.
Ryanair, therefore, continues to recover and gradually restore tourism and jobs after the Covid-19 pandemic. Passengers from Croatia can now book a vacation this winter on one of the 24 routes. As travel recovers from the strong changes caused by the pandemic, Ryanair continues to have traffic and impact on the recovery of tourism across Europe.
Zagreb winter routes:
Baden Baden – Gothenburg – Naples
Basel – London – Oslo
Bruxelles – Malaga – Paris
Dortmund – Malta – Paphos
Dusseldorf – Malmo – Podgorica
Eindhoven – Memmingen – Sofia
Frankfurt – Milan – Salonika
Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary told a news conference today:
“Ryanair is investing in Croatia to help it recover from the tourism industry after Covid and strengthen its ties with the rest of Europe as Ryanair continues to grow and air transport returns to pre-pandemic levels. Since Ryanair is taking over 55 new ‘Gamechanger’ B737-8200 aircraft this winter, we are pleased to base three new aircraft in Zagreb, which will fly on a total of 24 new routes during the first Ryanair winter based in Zagreb. To celebrate these 24 new winter lines, we are starting to sell seats priced at just £ 150 / € 19.99 one way for travel until the end of November 2021. Seats at promotional prices need to be booked by Thursday, September 23, at midnight. As these incredibly low prices will sell out quickly, we advise passengers to secure their seats today via the website www.ryanair.com.”
