Ikador Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa Park on Croatia’s Opatija Riviera has won a prestigious international design award.
The hotel’s Mediterranean Park has won the Platinum MUSE Design Award for the Best Landscape Design of 2021.
“This exclusive recognition was awarded to our landscape architect Ksenija Jurčić Diminić, and we couldn’t be more proud,” the hotel said.
“The Mediterranean Park Park is located in the area of the Ikador Luxury Boutique Hotel & Spa in place Ika, right by the sea. It covers an area of about 7000 m2. The Park is shaped in an organic manner with dominating Mediterranean evergreen plants.
Organically shaped paths that connect the space lead through the park. Parterre is formed by lush islands of flowering shrubs. With the changes of the seasons, the image of the park changes attractively, always different, stimulating users of the space. The space is rich in coloUrs and aromatic scents. The dominant colour is green, blue and white, which brings a relaxing atmosphere. The vertical backbone in the space consists of cypress, pine, cedar, palm, almond, magnolia trees … The green roofs of succulents are made in the manner of abstract tapestries. Various of created aestheticised views define the green space.”
The MUSE Design Awards honours design professionals of various expertise, whose works shoulder the weight of the future, despite the unknown.
