Bojan Bogdanović passed 8,000 points in the NBA overnight, becoming only the second Croatian to achieve that feat.
The 32-year-old was in good form last night for the Utah Jazz, scoring 26 points, 19 of which came in the final quarter. But this would not be enough as his side went down to the Miami Heat 111:105.
Bogdanović went into the match with 7,990 points and he passed the 8,000 mark in the final quarter. Former Chicago Bulls star Toni Kukoč is the only Croatian to have scored more points in the NBA now than Bogdanovć. Kukoč ended his career with 9,810 points.
If he continues playing like he is then it is only a matter of time before Bogdanovć becomes the highest Croatian scorer ever in the NBA.
Congratulations on reaching 8,000 career points, Bojan Bogdanovic! 👏 pic.twitter.com/X4pviNAyuC

Back in May, Bogdanovic broke Dražen Petrović’s Croatian NBA record of the most points in a game.
Bogdanovic scored 48 points as his Utah Jazz defeated the Denver Nuggets 127-120, passing Petrović who scored the previous high, 44 points against Houston on January 24, 1993.
