Directors named for Croatian Tourist Board offices in USA, Germany, Italy, France, Benelux and Russia

The Tourism Council of the Croatian Tourist Board (HTZ) has appointed directors of representative offices in Germany, Italy, France, Benelux, Russia and the USA.
The 3rd session of the Tourism Council of the Croatian Tourist Board was held online today, at which the members of the council, chaired by the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikola Brnjac and the director of the Croatian Tourist Board Kristjan Staničić, adopted the Annual Work Program of the HTZ for 2022.
In accordance with the new program, all activities of the HTZ in 2022 will be focused on positioning Croatia as the most desirable destination in the Mediterranean, in the realisation of 90 percent of tourist traffic realised in 2019.
“During the next year, as before, our promotional activities will be adapted to the specifics of different markets, but in order to stand out even more in the future and position ourselves as a destination leading tourism trends, we want to strengthen our visibility in the future by emphasising sustainable business, development and offers as well as security which remains an important prerequisite for choosing a destination. I believe that in this way, in addition to long-term successful development and management of tourism, we will increase our visibility throughout the year. In that context, I wish the directors of the representative offices appointed today successful work and results,” said the Minister of Tourism and Sports Nikolina Brnjac.
“The year ahead will be very challenging. Its course will be mostly influenced by the further development of the situation with the global pandemic, and we must take into account the return of individual competing countries, ie destinations that will invest significant resources in promoting and attracting foreign guests. However, over the last two years, Croatia has taken the position of one of the safest destinations in the Mediterranean, we have achieved very good tourism results that rank us at the top of Europe, and we want to keep these trends next year in which we will conduct intensive marketing and PR campaigns. to each individual market,” concluded Kristjan Staničić, director of the HTZ, adding that the focus of the promotion will be products of nautical, eno-gastronomy, nature and active and health tourism.
At the session, the members of the Tourism Council also appointed the directors of the Croatian Tourist Board’s representative offices in Germany, Italy, France, the Benelux, Russia and the USA.

No candidate has been selected for the positions of directors of the Polish and South Korean market offices, and the vacancy for the Polish market will be announced as soon as possible, while the vacancy for the South Korean market will be repeated in spring 2022.
Also, the session adopted the Decision on announcing calls for strategic partners, the proposal of the Call for expressions of interest for the implementation of promotional campaigns with strategic partners in foreign markets in 2022, which aims to implement marketing cooperation with strategic partners – tour operators and carriers, which in 2022 are planning travel programs for Croatia from foreign markets. Subject cooperation will be carried out with selected partners and interested tourist communities.
The members of the council also adopted the Decision on announcing a public call for the selection of a media leasing agency in foreign markets, and the Decision on announcing a public call for the selection of a PR agency for international PR activities and social media in foreign markets, HTZ said.
