Croatian President Recognises “Pro-Cro” French in Paris


Croatian President Ivo Josipovic is in Paris, where he presented awards to five French citizens for their contribution in improving relations between Croatia and France, and also for their contribution in the process of Croatia’s accession to the EU.

Those who received awards were: Jean-Louis Dewost, special adviser to the Croatian government on justice issues in Croatia’s accession negotiations with the EU.

Guy Legras, who in 2004 was French President Jacques Chirac’s advisor to the Croatian government in negotiations with the EU, specialising in the field of agriculture.

President of the friendship group France-Croatia, Patrick Bloche, who was responsible for connecting and fostering good relations between the National Assembly and the Croatian Parliament.

Senator Michele Andre, for her efforts in developing French-Croatian relations and Catherine Lalumiere, vice president of the International European Movement, who assisted with Croatia’s integration into European institutions, reported Croatian radiotelevision.
