ZAGREB, 22 April (Hina) – Transport Minister Oleg Butković said on Tuesday the HAC motorway operator would keep the same toll rates.
“Traffic is… better than in 2019 and there is no justification to raise at the moment,” he told the press at Meja, visiting a rebuilt section of state motorway DC501.
He said that this year to date, 5.5% more money had been collected from motorway tolls than in the record year 2019. The increase is 22% compared with 2021 and 35% with 2020, he added.
The rebuilt motorway section, inaugurated before the Easter holidays, is 7.2 kilometres long. The works cost HRK 40 million.
Butković said the reconstruction of Krk Bridge was nearing completion and that Pelješac Bridge and some of its access roads would be opened this summer.
He said over HRK 25 billion was being invested in the transport infrastructure.
