Floraart: International garden show in Zagreb for 56th time in May

International garden show this year at Zagreb’s Bundek from 19 to 22 May
ZAGREB, 29 April 2022 – As many as 100,000 seedlings are being prepared, with 180 local and a dozen foreign exhibitors expected and, as usual – a great visitor turn out.
On more than 300,000 square meters of open space, from 19 to 22 May at Zagreb’s Bundek, visitors will be able to enjoy the largest international flower show in this part of Europe. Admission is free.

The central event of this year’s Floraart will be on Thursday, 19 May when florists will compete and show off their arranging skills in five different categories.
On Friday, 20 May the International Competition of Agricultural High School Students in Arranging will take place.

On the outer part of Lake Bundek, plant exhibitors will present a range of their own products and various floral installations and displays of conceptual solutions in the design of smaller green areas.
In the western and eastern open part of Lake Bundek, a rich sale of cacti, perennials and flowers will be organized and available at affordable prices. An important part of the exhibition will be the educational program through numerous lectures and presentations.

“In the segment of education, we will cover a number of interesting topics. Since 20 May is World Bee Day, the Croatian Apitherapy Society will reveal the importance of caring for greenery and flowers for the survival of bees in the city, the truths and misconceptions about honey, how to recognize real honey, and children will be able to enjoy a drawing workshop. The team from the Daily Dose of Plants will deal with rare and collector’s species and hold a practical presentation on how and when to transplant a particular plant, and the City Pharmacy of Zagreb will talk about the therapeutic potential of medical hemp and making natural skin preparations,” organises of Floraart said.

A special guest of the 56th Floraarta is Ms. Kang Yong-Soon, a master of Korean traditional flower arranging, who will present Wagong – Korean art of arranging flowers through several workshops.
