All restrictions on entry into Croatia have now been lifted

ZAGREB, 4 May 2022 – All restrictions that were adopted during the coronavirus pandemic at Croatian borders are now no longer valid, the Ministry of the Interior confirmed to N1 on Monday. 

The few remaining restrictions at border crossings which were valid until April 30 were not extended, meaning there are now no epidemiological-related restrictions in place to enter. 

At the start of April, the need to present COVID passes was removed for EU citizens, meaning they could enter Croatia without any requirements. Those arriving from other countries were still required to posses a COVID pass or negative test to enter but now that has been removed.

“Entry into the Republic of Croatia is allowed subject to the conditions of entry that were valid before the COVID-19 epidemic, ie under the conditions prescribed by the Schengen Borders Code, the Foreigners Act, etc., but without meeting epidemiological conditions,” Croatia’s Ministry of the Interior said in a statement to N1.

The only measure now still in force in the country is the mandatory wearing of protective masks in hospitals, care homes and health related institutions.

Also employees at social welfare institutions that provide accommodation services for the elderly, people with disabilities and visitors must wear masks.
