More tickets go on sale for Lorde concert in Croatia

Zagreb, 1 June 2022 – Lorde’s ‘Solar Power’ tour has started, which includes her first ever concerts in Croatia at St. Michael’s Fortress in Šibenik on 18 and 19 June 2022.

With only 1070 tickets available for each concert, both concerts in Šibenik were sold out last June in one day.

Today, organisers announced that an additional 20 tickets for each concert will go on sale on Friday, June 3, through the Eventim system, and the price is 380 kn.

The tour, which is already going in the USA through arenas and amphitheaters, is special because of the carefully selected locations that Lorde wants to visit, and these are the best concert stages in the world.

Šibenik Fortress found itself on the list alongside famous concert destinations such as Radio City Music Hall in New York, Shrine Auditorium in LA, Roundhouse in London and Castello di Villafranca in Verona.

At both exclusive concerts at the Fortress of St. Mihovila, the New Zealander with Croatian roots will sing some of her mega hits from the first two albums, but also songs from her new studio release “Solar Power”.

Born Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O’Connor in New Zealand, Lorde claims Croatian heritage on her mother’s side and has both Croatian and New Zealand citizenship.

Lorde is a multiple Grammy winner and one of the youngest performers to top international charts. Ever since she first appeared on the scene as a 16-year-old in 2013, with the then biggest hit of the year “Royals,” Lorde has pushed the boundaries of alter pop and manages to stay on top playing constantly by her own rules. Ella does not use social networks at all, she appears promotionally very rarely, and she takes big breaks between albums that last mostly three to four years.

Lorde currently has sold 12 million albums worldwide, as well as 10 billion streams. Unobtrusively she became the voice of an entire generation with her debut “Pure Heroine”, the album sold three times platinum, won two Grammys, the single “Royals” achieved a record audience, and Lorde became the youngest artist, and the only one from New Zealand, with number one on Billboard’s list of the 100 best since 1987.

Time magazine named her one of the most influential teenagers in the world, she was on the Forbes list of the 30 most influential under-30s, on the cover of Rolling Stone, and she performed with Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony in 2014.

Her second album “Melodrama” debuted at number one on the Billboard charts of the top 200 albums, topped the album charts in 45 countries and won a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.

Her new album and the accompanying tour are new proof of its uniqueness. The long-awaited return to the discography activity was announced with the single “Solar Power” from the album of the same name, which will be released on August 20, and the song received praise from critics and audiences, topped the Spotify global and US charts days since its release it has already had 30 million streams and has been marked as trending worldwide.

NME and Pitchfork give the singles a high five, Billboard praises Lorde and “Solar Power” as a fresh chapter in her work, while the Guardian says Lorde’s comeback song sets her apart from others in terms of her creativity.

Marlon Williams, a New Zealand singer-songwriter, will perform before Lorde at both concerts.
