Dalmaland to open on Croatian coast

Dalmaland will combine water attractions with the thematic activities at Fun Park Biograd.
Construction of a water park and water attractions called Dalmaland has begun at Fun Park Biograd in Biograd na Moru on the Croatian coast.
Pools, slides and water descents will combine with current attractions at the park like Jurassic World, Space, Pirate Bay and the Wild West to offer themed fun, rides and swimming.
The designers of the water park and the contractors are Croatian companies, while the water attractions themselves will be done by the world-famous company Polin Wateparks, which has so far constructed slides for over 50 world water parks.
Dalmaland will feature the following attractions:
Wave pool – the pool with artificial waves is a special place to enjoy and relax after adrenaline slides, every now and then the tide comes and brings with it wave after wave.
Children’s water slides and a swimming pool – carefree fun for kids with water cannons, slides and water fountains.
Water slides with a pool – water descents of different heights with a multitude of light and sound effects that the whole family will enjoy in safe conditions on more than 2 kilometres of trails.
Diving pool – a real water oasis of fun and laughter for all ages
Adrenaline fast slides – looping rocket that reaches a speed of 12.56 m/s and windigo with a speed of 11.07 m/s. The pools will have built-in heat pumps for heating the pool.
Today, a number of representatives from the county, municipalities, tourist boards, hotels, Erste bank and sponsors were present at the ceremonial laying of the foundation stone, including President of the Zadar County Chamber of Commerce, Denis Ikić, Zadar County Representative, Ante Vukašin, and the Mayor of Biograd na Moru, Ivan Knez. Don Frane Šindija, from the Biograd parish, led the blessing.
For the 2023 season new equipment will also be procured, namely the entire Fun Park Biograd will switch to cash-less payment with bracelets with an RFID reader. The entire investment is worth 50 million kuna, the investment will be made from Erste Bank Investment Loan, and will provide an additional 30 jobs so that the number of employees in the Park will be 100 employees, of which 30 are full-time employees.
Dalmaland is scheduled to open in May 2023.
