Igor Tudor named new head coach of Marseille

Former Croatian international Igor Tudor (44) has been named head coach of French Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille.
Tudor, who spent much of his playing career at Hajduk Split and Italian club Juventus, joins the French club on a two-year-deal.
“Olympique de Marseille proudly announces the signing of 𝗜𝗴𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝘂𝗱𝗼𝗿 as our new coach.The Croatian has signed for two years with the Olympic club,” the club announced today on Twitter.
Tudor succeeds Jorge Sampaoli at the club, and arrives after leading Verona to 9th place in Serie A last season. Tudor will also lead the team in the Champions League, where he is guaranteed a place in the group stages.

The former Croatian international, who spent 8 years as a player at Juventus between 1998 and 2007, has spent time coaching at Hajduk Split, PAOK in Greece, Karabükspor and Galatasaray in Turkey and Udinese, Juventus and Verona in Italy.
