Global travel site Big 7 Travel has officially released its annual list of ‘The 50 Best Islands In The World’.
This diverse list spans from the secluded island of Mnemba in Tanzania to the Aegean paradise island of Bozcaada in Turkey.
The list, compiled using aggregated scores from previous media results and contributions from the Big 7 Travel editorial team, ranks the Croatian island of Korčula as one of the most amazing islands to visit right now.
“Korcula is one of the must-visit destinations on Croatia’s South Dalmatian coast. It’s a little further out to get to than most of the other islands, so you can enjoy fewer crowds and a more laid-back atmosphere. Locals have nicknamed Korcula Town “Little Dubrovnik” because of its medieval squares, churches, palaces and houses, while the beaches and dense forest offer incredible scenery,” wrote Big 7 Travel about Korčula, placing it at No. 40 on the list.
Number one on the list was Mauritius, followed by Jamaica and Koh Mak, Thailand in second and third place respectively.
