Production of the world’s first all-electric hypercar GT is in full swing at Rimac’s new facility on the outskirts of Zagreb in Croatia.
The first year of production is already sold out. Almost every major component of the car is designed, engineered, and built at Rimac weeks or months prior to each car being finished, and installed in the last phase of production – the vehicle assembly which takes about five weeks per car.
The Rimac Nevera has already won a number of awards, including being named Best Hypercar by the prestigious Robb Report, GQ and Top Gear.
The $2.5 million Nevera, which boasts nearly 2,000 hp, was tested recently by Jay Leno for his popular YouTube show Jay Leno’s Garage.
“The thing I like about it is the science, it’s effortless, it’s seamless. I get a lot of cars and this feels like a rocket. It is a beautiful car, a stunning design,” Leno said at the start of the show, adding that the Rimac Nevera is automotive royalty.
Miroslav Zrnčević Mrgud from Rimac helped explain to Leno in more detail the Nevera during the test drive.
