Zlatko Dalić nominated for 2022 world’s best coach award

Zlatko Dalić, who lead Croatia to 3rd place at the recent World Cup in Qatar, has been nominated for the 2022 Men’s World Best National Coach award from the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS).
Dalić is one of 20 nominees for the best Men’s World Best National Coach 2022 award announced by the IFFHS yesterday.
Alongside Dalić are some of the world’s best coaches including Argentina’s Lionel Scaloni, France’s Didier Deschamps, England’s Gareth Southgate and Louis van Gaal who manages the Netherlands.
56-year-old Dalić took over as Croatia coach in 2017 and led the country to second place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup and third place at the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

Dalić has enjoyed a great run over the past 18 months, losing just two matches in the last 23 to see the side rise to 7th in the latest FIFA rankings.
Italy’s Euro winning coach Roberto Mancini won the award last year.
