The Sunday Times UK: “Zagreb – A City With Character”

It is not only Croatia’s spectacular Adriatic coast that is receiving media acclaim around the world. Popular British newspaper The Sunday Times, which has a circulation of close to 1 million copies, has praised the quaint Croatian capital of Zagreb in article titled “Europe’s secret cities”.

The Sunday Times described the city along the Sava river as a city with character, where sipping your morning coffee with the warm, friendly atmosphere is a real pleasure. It went on to say that the bustling Tkalciceva street in the city centre is evidence that Zagreb goes to sleep late.

Zagreb has had a successful tourist season this year with an increase in the number of tourists from asian countries. This year saw significant growth especially from Japan and Korea.
