At the famous International Film Festival in Berlin, the feature film “Infinity Pool” directed by Brandon Cronenberg was screened last night.
It was the European premiere of the long-awaited film by producer Anita Juka, starring Alexander Skarsgård and Mia Goth, which was filmed in Croatia.
The screening as part of the Berlinale Specials, a program dedicated to various achievements that elevate film as an art form, was completely sold out, the premiere was attended by all the actors, and the audience did not hide their enthusiasm for the film after the screening.
“The world premiere of the film was held at Sundance, but I am personally glad that the Berlinale is the first festival in our territory that decided to show it. It is an ambitious project that is the result of the overseas cooperation of Canada, Croatia and Hungary, over 75 film employees worked on the film, and absolutely all the actors ask us what our next project is, because they want to return to Croatia to shoot,” said producer Anita Juka.
Lighting master Slaven Spinčić, stage designer Zvonko Sarić, mask master Svetlana Gutić, associate producer Laura Sinovčić played some of the key positions in the film, and roles were also played by Zijad Gračić, Alan Katić, Amar Bukvić, Romina Tonković, Dunja Sepčić and Lena Juka Štambuk.
The film is currently showing in theatres across the US and will soon be released in Europe.
The film is distributed by Universal and Focus Features. This is the latest success for the Croatian production 4 film and Anita Juka, after they presented two films at the Cannes International Film Festival last year – the film “Butterfly Vision”, directed by Maksym Nakonechny and the film “Burning days”, directed by Emin Alper.
