Croatia will be looking to bounce back in the best possible way tomorrow in Turkey after their 1-1 draw with Wales in Split on Saturday night.
Croatia faces Turkey away on Tuesday in their second Euro 2024 qualifier and after the result against Wales, it is imperative that the Vatreni don’t slip up.
“I’m sad because we lost two points in the last minute. We played very well and had complete control, especially in the first half. In the second half, we fell for about fifteen minutes, came back and were dominant. We conceded a goal in the last minute, which we knew was a danger. Concentration was not good, but football sometimes gives and sometimes takes away,” Dalić said after the 1-1 draw with Wales
Despite the hiccup, Dalić is optimistic.
“The goal is to qualify for Euro 2024. It is irrelevant when we will win that point we need, at the end or now. We didn’t play badly, I have no complaints, only that deconcentration in one minute cost us the conceded goal”.
Strikers Marko Livaja, who fell awkwardly on his back during the match, and Bruno Petković, have both been ruled out and did not travel to Turkey.
“I will not call up anyone for the match with Turkey. We have Musa and Kramarić in the strikers position,” Dalić said.
About changes in the team
“We will make some changes when we analyse the match. We need to refresh the team, I hope that everyone will be ready for a difficult match on a difficult field. If Kramarić plays as striker against Turkey, who will be on the right wing? We have Pašalić, Vlašić, we also have Majer in that position, and Nikola (Vlašić) has returned after a month and a half from injury”.

The match will be played at the jaw-dropping crocodile-shaped Bursapor Stadium. The stadium can hold up to 44,000 fans and on match days the teeth and eyes of the croc light up for a stunning effect.
